The Seeds
Kat Grass
Wheat, Oats, Rye, Barley, Flax
Grass for cats, salad for cats (and kittens, and a plethora of other creatures), whatever you call it - it is really amazing stuff!
Cats and other creatures need vegetable matter in their diet, just like people, and Kat Grass supplies that along with great nutrition. We even include a little Flax which is good for their coats.
Many of you know that your cats need this, because they eat your house plants - that is the surest sign that your cat will love this treat. Kat Grass is easily grown - on soil or a soilless medium -
like Baby Blanket. All you do to serve your cat (etc.) is to place the container of living grass near their food dish or in some other place they'll find it.
Mid-Bird Mix
Peanuts (shelled), Sunflower (in shell), Wheat, Spelt (hulled), Kamut, Triticale, Barley (hulless), Oats (hulless), Millet, Buckwheat (in hull), Brown Rice, Green Lentils, Crimson Lentils, French Blue Lentils and Red Lentils, Adzuki Beans, Mung Beans, Black Garbanzos, Brown Garbanzos and Small Beige Garbanzos, Green Peas, Speckled Peas and Yellow Peas, Fenugreek, Brown and Golden Flax, Alfalfa, Red Clover, Oriental Mustard, Daikon and China Rose Radish, Quinoa, Sesame
Mid Bird is another lovely mix. This one has 33 seeds - all from sources which are certified organic. Both you and your flock will appreciate its beauty and how easy it is to sprout.
As we've said, the name of the mix indicates the relative size of the seeds in that mix. Our avian advisors assure us that any size bird can enjoy any of our mixes. A smaller bird will just take longer to eat a larger seed, while a bigger bird will chow down the little seeds faster.
Sunflower Greens
Greens grown from Sunflowers are amazingly delicious! If you you don't feel you know us well enough to believe it, just look under your bird feeder in summertime for a sorta thick stemmed plant about 4-6"" tall, with 2 leaves on top. Pick it off above the soil - wash well - and eat it stem and leaves..... See? Great aren't they? Your birds and other greens eating housemates will love them too!
San Francisco Mix
Peanuts, Mung Bean, Adzuki Bean. Black, Crimson, Eston, French Blue & Green Lentils.
Green, Speckled & Bill Jump Peas. Black, Brown & Beige Garbanzos
13 (or so) seeds mixed up to make our most popular Bean Sprout Mix of all-time. Though this is a mix is primarily for humans, birds and dogs will enjoy it too.
4 Legs of Love
Red Clover, Alfalfa, Broccoli, 7 Lentils, Mung Beans & Hulless Oats
This New (2009) Mix is the perfect sprout mix-in for dogs.
Tested and approved by our lovable mutts; Dobie and Chester, 4 Legs of Love also has our veterinarian's stamp of approval.
We have had dogs in our home forever. Beanie's Awesome Mix is named after our first dog, Clem's Choice is named for our 2nd dog, so it seems like this mix should have been introduced ages ago - all of our dogs have eaten sprouts. We decided it was about time we put something together that was specifically good for dogs, and also easy to get them to eat. This is great stuff!
