Growing Millet Sprouts

Growing Millet Sprouts

Millet is best stored in a cool location, because, it is, on ocassion pleasing to a particular pest - the Indian Meal Moth, which can appear out of nowhere when conditions are right (hot). These are organic seeds after all, so there is no other way to keep your seeds absolutely safe, except to freeze them. It's just good practice, if you have the space =:-}

Happy Sprouting!

Dry Seeds await their Soak.

6 - 10 hours later...Soaked, Rinsed and Drained.

12 hours later... Another Rinse/Drain cycle.

12 hours later... Another Rinse/Drain cycle. You may be done now....

12 hours later... Another Rinse/Drain cycle. If you weren't done last time, stop now....

Or go another 12 hours - if you like 'em even longer. If you're still growing - Rinse and Drain thoroughly.

Even longer. Too long in our opinion, but hey - you're the sproutperson. Decide for yourself. Taste at every opportunity.
