- Soak8 - 12 hoursThe amount of time your seeds should soak in cool water. Soaking is how we begin the sprouting process in most cases.
- Rinse / Drain2 times per dayHow often your seeds should be watered. Rinsing thoroughly and then draining as much water as possible are key components to growing great sprouts.
- Harvest2 - 3 daysThe time it takes to grow a finished Sprout, or other crop (Micro-Greens, Grass, Greens) from a dry Seed. Note: This "finished" Sprout is our preference. you may grow them for as long as you want! In fact, we suggest that you taste them at every rinse to discover when you like them best.
- Yield1.75 to 1The amount of Sprouts, Grass, Greens or Micro-Greens produced by 1 unit of Seed. For Example 2:1 means that 1 pound of Seed will produce 2 pounds of Sprouts or whatever crop you are growing. You do not have to grow them all at once of course, unless you wish to =:-D

Got the Dr Bird mix so beautiful and easy to sprout and my birds adore it!! I feel so much better feeding them healthier!
The flock dives right in beak first. Glad to be back using your products again most of our flock are birds from difficult backgrounds one rescued from a crack house. Feeding fresh sprouted seeds, grains and nuts is a blessing for their health and recovery.
The seeds sprouted perfectly and the birds really enjoyed them! Shipping was fast and everything came in good condition.
This is my first time sprouting. The video was excellent since sometimes I just don't get it! :-? I'm very pleased so far how easy it actually is! I will get back to you after they sprout and give to my extremely picky, seed only birds.
I am the one who's "allergic" to wheat, or any gluten grains. I can't have them in my home. Hence, my birds cannot either. I usually make my own mix, but now trying this one. I give 5 stars for someone in the US having the presence of mind to create a sprouted seed mix for birds that doesn't contain something that will compromise the health of the bird's owner.
Thank you (again) Sprout people!
I consider this product to be superfluous because other bird mixes from Sprout People are already organic and I can't imagine what 'allergen' has been removed from this, unless it's supposed to be dust.
Some of the additions to the mix are strange, such as the almonds, because they don't sprout in the appropriate time for serving with the rest of the mix; I'm not sure how far they are into germinating either.
It has an excellent visual variety which is good for picky eaters and it even helped to convert a seed junkie (once she got hungry enough). I found that my smallest birds, various parrotlets, were able to eat this without issue, but the beans were not tolerated by small conures so only half the mix was being eaten.
Sproutpeople Reply: The allergens removed for this mix are grains - most specifically wheat, and peanuts - which we removed from all of our bird mixes.
This is my birds favorite sproutpeople mix. They loved the big and middle bird mixes too but this one goes even faster in my house.
