- Soak30 - 60 minutesThe amount of time your seeds should soak in cool water. Soaking is how we begin the sprouting process in most cases.
- Rinse / Drain2 times per dayHow often your seeds should be watered. Rinsing thoroughly and then draining as much water as possible are key components to growing great sprouts.
- Harvest1 - 3 daysThe time it takes to grow a finished Sprout, or other crop (Micro-Greens, Grass, Greens) from a dry Seed. Note: This "finished" Sprout is our preference. you may grow them for as long as you want! In fact, we suggest that you taste them at every rinse to discover when you like them best.
- Yield1.5 to 1The amount of Sprouts, Grass, Greens or Micro-Greens produced by 1 unit of Seed. For Example 2:1 means that 1 pound of Seed will produce 2 pounds of Sprouts or whatever crop you are growing. You do not have to grow them all at once of course, unless you wish to =:-D

I'm a big oatmeal fan and adore oat groats for my morning meal. Since I'm new to sprouts and testing various products, I thought I would give oats & groats a try. Oh my lucky stars...they are great! Knowing how nutritionally packed these little gems are and the fact that they are loaded with cholesterol-lowing, heart-healthy soluble fiber is an added bonus. I was an instant fan and totally hooked. I highly recommend oats & groats for a Phytofit meal!
These sprouts are ready to eat so quickly. I add some sunflower seeds to the mix for an extra crunch (and extra nutrients), and it’s a healthy base for add-ons for more breakfast variety. I especially appreciate Sproutpeople providing the so much better hulless oats.
I was skeptical at first - I am a longtime cooked oatmeal eater - but I am pleasantly surprised at how good this is with sliced banana (and blueberries and sliced pear, etc.). I don't use milk or anything and it is a lot quicker than cooking oatmeal. Chewy, but not too much and a hint of sweetness. I soak a cup's worth for a 1/2 hour in the morning, then rinse and rest/sprout 12 hours later (I use the Easy Sprouter), then one more rinse and sprout session overnight and they're ready the next morning.
My favorite way to enjoy the Oats n' Groats mix is when I make overnight oats. Just sprout them and include a spoonful or two when you combine your favorite overnight oats combination.
I have been sprouting and eating oats and groats for several years now. Mostly for supper during the summer months! Add some fresh fruit, kefir, nuts, almond milk and its a meal. My favorite from Sproutpeople. Great product.
I have tried sprouting plain buckwheat groats that I bought at the store. These are so much better that there is no comparison. They are easy to make and delicious. I love the mixed oats and groats. When sprouted they are little crunchy and a little sweet and just delicious.. I can eat them by the handful. I encourage you to try these. They will be a regular item for me from now on. Thanks Sprout People!
Eat these for breakfast! Soak the morning before then harvest at breakfast the next day. Yum
I wanted to try them for something different than the normal traditional breakfast. I ordered a small amount just to try. I was very surprised how wonderful these are as a breakfast cereal with milk and some Vermont maple syrup. It almost had the texture of granola cereal, but it has a very fresh taste. The best part is after eating this for breakfast, I don't feel bogged down and heavy. I feel energized instead. Highly recommended! :-)
I also tried these on the Sprout People's recommendation and SO glad!! I absolutely love them. They are very easy and QUICK to sprout and taste great. I can't start my day without them!!!
I ordered these because you recommended them for breakfast. Wow was that a great suggestion. I had them last week myself and this morning made a special breakfast treat for my husband. Made some fresh almond milk to go with. He said, "I like where you're going with this. Can I add some banana?"
Win! Thank you for being the best at what you do and for educating people for so many years. Xo SproutPeople!
