About

Actually a legume not a nut, Raw Valencia Peanuts make for one way popular sprout! We got thousands of folks hooked on these over our years at the Dane County Farmer's Market in Madison, Wisconsin (where we sold sprouts every Saturday from April-November for 10 years). In our opinion, Peanuts are best when they put out only a bulge at their tip (germ), not a big root, but you can decide for yourself (assuming that you can keep from eating them long enough to let them grow).

Notes

Due to weather (in this case, too much rain at the wrong time) the organic peanut crop was poor in 2016. Sadly we can not find enough seed to allow us to sell straight Peanuts this year, as they are absolutely essential in our San Francisco Mix  and Madison Market Mix.

  • Can't. Stop. Eating. Them.
    Pretty sure these will never get a chance to get to the 24 hour mark for sporuting in our house. Every time someone in our house passes by the EasySprouter with these a few just 'happen' to jump into their hands...Like the previous review said, it's like the best peanuts you've ever had but lighter and fresher. Love the crispy texture and sweet flavor. Purchasing more ASAP.

  • Filling snack
    These sprouts are really great! They are ready fast and they taste great. Similar taste to a regular peanut, but fresher and lighter. I like that they are really filling, so they are a great snack. My daughter eats them at swim meets when she doesn't want to eat too much at once cuz she'll be back in the pool soon, but wants a healthy sustaining snack to fuel her body. One of my faves!

  • Yummy peanut sprouts
    My husband and I just love peanut sprouts. We eat them as a snack all by themselves, and also have tried them in a salad, beef stew, and chicken stir-fry. They are crunchy and taste terrific. BTW, I like to add some sea salt to the soak water. They still sprout, and they taste even better.
