- Soak8 - 12 hoursThe amount of time your seeds should soak in cool water. Soaking is how we begin the sprouting process in most cases.
- Rinse / Drain2 - 3 times per dayHow often your seeds should be watered. Rinsing thoroughly and then draining as much water as possible are key components to growing great sprouts.
- Harvest2 - 3 daysThe time it takes to grow a finished Sprout, or other crop (Micro-Greens, Grass, Greens) from a dry Seed. Note: This "finished" Sprout is our preference. you may grow them for as long as you want! In fact, we suggest that you taste them at every rinse to discover when you like them best.
- Yield2 to 1The amount of Sprouts, Grass, Greens or Micro-Greens produced by 1 unit of Seed. For Example 2:1 means that 1 pound of Seed will produce 2 pounds of Sprouts or whatever crop you are growing. You do not have to grow them all at once of course, unless you wish to =:-D

For years I bought the individual lentils and sprouted them separately. But now I am spoiled with the Peasant Mix. A terrific variety all in one place. It only takes a couple of days and we have a great snack, lentils for soups and salads, and toss some in with our brown rice meals after the rice is cooked. Life is good.
These lentils are so far above the standard, boring supermarket lentils. Sproutpeople is so amazing by making these harder-to-find seeds so available. The colors all together are unusual and lovely, and I believe these different varieties have additional nutritional benefits.
I need to make a larger batch of these the next time. As soon as they were ready to eat, they disappeared as snacks before they made it into any recipe.
This is a great mix of lentils I probably would have never tried on my own. I made them in a cooked Curry dish and they were simply amazing. You can taste the extra nutrients and the fresh flavor that's in the barely sprouted seeds. Yum!
This is my “usual” sprout mix. I am always glad to add these to almost anything. They are great on breakfast eggs, mixed into fried rice, on a salad (standard lettuce salad, potato salad, or any other assortment of produce you might call salad) and generally sprinkled around on top of meals like grain bowls. Also really nice as a snack; my husband likes them with some hot spices like chili powder sprinkled on top.
This one just sounded interesting to try first. Boy, I’m glad I did. The first batch didn’t last long. Yes, you do just grab them out of the container. They are so, so good. I have many more mixes to try, but this one will probably happen between each new mix I try. I like them best when they are young. They had more flavor. Thank you, Sproutpeople. I am so glad I found you.
I love this mix of lentils. So many types with different flavors and textures. Great raw, steamed or stir fried, or with vinegar. I don't feel like a peasant when I sprout these!
I used to eat lentils cooked only in lentil soup until I tried these! They are awesome raw or cooked ! Thank you for introducing the lentil me as it is now something I eat frequently instead of once in a great while. These are just so good no matter how you eat them!
Great mix, just too expensive.
These were gone in less than the time it took to sprout them! They are a delicious snack or addition to foods. I put them on my poached eggs for breakfast, used them in salads and sandwiches, and every time I opened the fridge and saw the bag, grabbed a handful. Can't wait to sprout more!
