When sprouted Pintos add nutritional value (like all sprouts), and cook in a fraction of the time of dry Pintos. They should be cooked as they are hard to digest for most folks when eaten raw.

  • Great taste but read the notes
    The taste is good and after 4-5 rinse and drain cycles they are more plump than overnight soaked "grocery store cooking" type pintos; but notice what is said in the "notes" section about Pintos as SPROUTS. "Pintos are rarely prolific sprouters... and though we look for the best sprouters... we are willing to accept as low a germination rate as 50% when it comes to Pintos." In other words do NOT expect almost every bean to have a sprouted tail--let alone a LONG one.
