Brown Rice Sprouts

Sprouted Brown Rice will probably still need to be cooked after sprouting (it is too crunchy when raw - for us anyway) - but it is faster to cook and tastier too, and of course more nutritious. Rice is nice. @:-)

All our seeds are sourced from certified organic suppliers.

The amount of Brown Rice Sprouts produced by 1 unit of Seed. For Example 2:1 means that 1 pound of Seed will produce 2 pounds of Sprouts or whatever crop you are growing. You do not have to grow them all at once of course, unless you wish to =:-D

The time it takes to grow a finished 2 - 4 days, or other crop (Micro-Greens, Grass, Greens) from a dry Seed. Note: This "finished" Sprout is our preference. you may grow them for as long as you want! In fact, we suggest that you taste them at every rinse to discover when you like them best.

So Yummy!

This rice is so flavorful and easy to sprout. I do cook mine after sprouting but it's so much quicker. I use my rice cooker on the normal white rice setting and this sprouted rice comes out perfect!

Yummy!!

Brown rice is sort of a pest to cook because it just takes so long...HOWEVER...when you sprout it that changes everything. Not only does it shorten the cooking time, but it sweetens the rice as well. It is SOOO much more delicious. I also found a little trick with my food dehydrator. I sprout extra and dehydrate the extra...I store the dehydrated/vacuum sealed rice and rehydrate with some water to use like instant rice when I'm short on time. You would never know it had been dehydrated as It tastes just as good. This is great quality brown rice and the flavor is superb!

Best Source of Sprouting Brown Rice

There are lots of sources for organic brown rice. Sproutpeople's Organic Brown Rice has been the ONLY one that does not contain bugs. We tried buying in bulk from another source (sorry Gil) and the bag was full of bug dust. We tried to sprout the rice and it wouldn't. SP's seeds are also fat and roundish, while the other's were skinnier seeds. These cook up nicely in our rice cooker I have to admit, this Sprouted Brown Rice seems sweeter also.
