Our Famous Sprout Mixes
Sproutpeople has the widest and wildest selection of sprouting seeds on this planet. We have made up mixes for over 30 years. At the beginning it was because I (Gil) hated Alfalfa. I had to find a way to make Leafy Sprouts taste good to me - so I experimented with seeds I thought would have flavor. Subsequently I found and mixed in seeds like Arugula, Celery, Cress, Dill, Fenugreek, Garlic, Onion, and more - which turned Leafy Sprouts into a delight. With Beans it was more about beauty and texture. We found many colors of Lentils, Peas and Garbanzos. We discovered how awesome Peanut Sprouts tasted and added those - and the deep maroon Adzukis brought out other colors as well as adding their own. We used the same aesthetic when mixing Grains and other types of seed. Though I hated sprouts when I started, my love of seeds carried me into the world of sprouts. If I could turn into a sprout lover - anyone can. Our mixes will get even the most hardcore anti-sprout person into sprouts. I should know.
