Euro Tray Sprouter
This is THE most stylish Sprouter we have ever come across. The Euro Tray Sprouter is simple and elegant. It makes a lovely and unique gift of very high quality. It can grow Micro-Greens, Grass, and Sprouts!
Though it will grow almost anything - except Beet, Celery, Cilantro, or Dill - it's especially great for growing small crops of Micro-Greens - except for those aforementioned four seeds. If you have a cat with an eye for style you can grow lovely Cat Grass in it as well. Even mucilaginous seeds grow wonderfully in this totally mod sprouter! NOTE: We sell these as single units - One tray with One strainer and One cover = 1 unit =:-) They are imported from Europe so they are a bit more expensive but we had to offer them!
Using the Euro Tray Sprouter is extremely simple. Just sprinkle some seeds on the strainer and watch 'em grow! Well, there's a tiny bit more than that, but not much.
The Euro Tray is not a big crop sprouter, but it is very fun and exceptionally attractive. It will turn 2 teaspoons of seed into a small crop in about a week. It is a glossy white glazed ceramic triangle - a stylish triangle to be sure - with a sturdy strainer upon which crops are grown. Please note the strainer has been upgraded to pure STAINLESS STEEL (not white enamel as pictured). The base is 6 inches on each side and it is 1.75 inches deep. The Euro Tray Sprouter also comes with a water-tolerant triangular cover - which may be black, kraft brown, or something else! The folks who make this are very imaginative. Everything about this device is SO groovy!

The Euro Tray Sprouter is a triangle which measures 6 inches on each side and is 1.75 inches deep. You can make amazing patterns by using several at a time. They fit together wonderfully as you'll see in some of the pictures we have (from the inventor's web site).
Note: Do NOT attempt to grow Beet, Celery, Cilantro, or Dill in the Euro Tray. They are the few seeds that will not work.
How to Grow Micro-Greens and Sprouts
Note: These instructions are completely unique due to the design of the sprouter. This is Very Cool!
Before you start, wash the container and the strainer.
Place your seeds onto the strainer.
Use 2 teaspoons for Micro-Greens or Leafy Sprouts.
If growing Grass or Greens or Bean Sprouts or the like, you can use up to 2 Tablespoons.
Pour 2/3 cup (160ml) of cool water into the ceramic base, up to the raised line around it. You can feel and see it.
Spread your seeds out evenly on the perforated tray with its curled edges facing downward.
Don't sweat this - fairly even is more than fine.
They may seem sparse, but once a seed takes up its fill of water it will roughly double in size.
Let them sit atop the base, soaking up the water in the base, for a long soak of 8-12 hours. Don't do a long soak again.
After the one long soak, change their water twice a day.
To do so: Pour old water out and pour fresh cool water into the ceramic base until it "just" touches the seeds, at or near the raised line.
Leave it for just a minute to give them a fast "soak", then Drain most of the water out--by lifting the strainer and then pouring the water from the base, leaving just a small amount in the base. This will keep light humidity inside the sprouter.
Put the Triangular Cover over the sprouter between water changes until leaves appear - if you are growing a leafy crop.
When leaves begin to appear, stop using the cover and move your sprouter to a well lit location.
Direct sunlight is fine and good when Greening a crop in an open Tray Sprouter.
Do continue to change the water; leaving the fresh water in the base for just a minute to give them a fast "soak", then Draining most of the water out. Do this twice a day until you are ready to Harvest.
Harvest
If you are growing bean sprouts or another 2-3 day crop - they are ready to eat or store 8-12 hours after their final rinse.
If you grew leaves you may either pull the crop up though the strainer or cut it - above or below the strainer.
De-Hull and dry if not cutting above strainer.
Yield will be 2-3 times the original weight of seed you started with. Clean the container and the strainer with dish soap or in a dishwasher.

FOR USE WITH THESE SEEDS/CROPS
Seeds to Sprout in the Euro Tray Sprouter
This Sprouting Device will grow anything - but it is particularly perfect for Micro-Greens.
Here are a few of the seeds that you can use to grow Micro-Greens on the Euro Tray Sprouter:
Some of these seeds form gel sacks around themselves when they come into contact with water. They are called Mucilaginous: The list includes Cress, Arugula, Flax, Chia, Basil, Rape Seed (Canola), Mizuna, and More.
The Euro Tray Sprouter is unique in that you do NOT use a medium when growing in it AND it grows Mucilaginous seeds into great crops. It does everything - so it's no surprise that it works perfectly with mixes like our fabulous Micro-Mix: Bruno's Indoor Garden.
Non-Mucilaginous seeds which can be grown on the Euro Tray Sprouter include but are not limited to: Alfalfa, Clover, Mustard, Radish, Cabbage, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Turnip Greens, Kohlrabi, Kale, Collards, Garlic Chive, Leek, Spring Onion, and More
Impossible?:
Almost nothing is impossible with the Euro Tray Sprouter. You can grow Grass, Greens, and Sprouts too!
But, Do NOT attempt to grow Beet, Celery, Cilantro, or Dill in the Euro Tray. They are the few seeds that will not work.
Cleaning: Between crops: Wash well with soap and water. Rinse well.
Manufacturers instructions are included on the box of the Euro Tray Sprouter. Whereas most sprouters included instructions are silly - this one has perfect instructions - because I wrote them for the inventor =:-)
If you want to grow bigger crops of Micro-Greens you should look at our Hemp Bag (the best sprouting bag in the universe =:-) and - if you want serious production - our selection of Trays - which can be used with Coconut Coir, Hemp Felt, or another Medium.
These are so pretty and they really do work! I'm in a tropical climate, with ac and still able to grow greens in these things. I was worried about moldy roots but the design of the tray really does keep them aerated. So much fun! So tasty! If you're thinking about it, just go for it.

This tray is everything I hoped for. Easy to use and as a bonus it’s aesthetically pleasing as well.

I absolutely love these! I bought them to grow microgreens. I am still figuring out the quantity of seeds I should add but they have still grown beautifully. They are a great living centerpiece.
