Stainless Steel Sprouter

Our Stainless Steel Sprouter is absolutely awesome! It offers exceptional drainage, and is the best non-plastic sprouter on our planet. It is ideal for growing vertical Leafy Sprouts and Brassica Sprouts. The Stainless Steel Sprouter is very versatile - it can sprout virtually any seed. It is even able to grow Grass and Micro-Greens!

Care: We recommend routine maintenance of all stainless steel tools. See details in the tab labeled Notes.

This is a very simple Sprouter. We want to keep this as inexpensive as possible, so you will use two of your own plates - one as a base and one as a cover. Our Stainless Steel Sprouter is a circular tray - which has a diameter of 7.5 inches and is 2 inches tall. It is a strong stainless steel circle with a fine mesh (25) stainless steel screen on the bottom. Made in Japan. We also offer a Small SSSprouter.

I have been sprouting since the 70's and these are very easy to use and work especially well with cabbage and broccoli sprouts! Just purchased my fourth and fifth stainless sprouters!

2 years and going strong

I use the stainless steel sprouter to grow leafy sprouts. I know the instructions say don't pull them out, but I've always been a rebel. Just go slow, be gentle, and it'll be fine (and grow small delicate plants like in mother's mix or the French mix). I use two of these regularly and they are holding up well. No damage. A teeny tiny bit of rust on the edge of one (about the size of a flax seed), but it doesn't bother me. I'm happy to use something plastic free that works.

Have this one and several of their smaller white plastic cup type sprouters. Although this one great for volume , it does require more thorough cleaning, by hand and careful drying.
Which takes time and care. The small mesh can trap sprout roots and each must be scrubbed off. I prefer the smaller plastic unit they sell, as it has a smaller footprint, easy to rinse crop,
Less messy, and can be safely placed in top rack of dishwasher. Roots rarely trapped and more easily removed.
