Stainless Steel Sprouter

Our Stainless Steel Sprouter is absolutely awesome! It offers exceptional drainage, and is the best non-plastic sprouter on our planet. It is ideal for growing vertical Leafy Sprouts and Brassica Sprouts. The Stainless Steel Sprouter is very versatile - it can sprout virtually any seed. It is even able to grow Grass and Micro-Greens!

Care: We recommend routine maintenance of all stainless steel tools. See details in the tab labeled Notes.

This is a very simple Sprouter. We want to keep this as inexpensive as possible, so you will use two of your own plates - one as a base and one as a cover. Our Stainless Steel Sprouter is a circular tray - which has a diameter of 7.5 inches and is 2 inches tall. It is a strong stainless steel circle with a fine mesh (25) stainless steel screen on the bottom. Made in Japan. We also offer a Small SSSprouter.

Good Quality Sprouter

This is my second Stainless Steel Sprouter from Sprout People. I had one that I had forgotten to bring home when we visited a vacation home. I had replaced that one with the plastic EZ Sprouter, which I didn't like very much due to the different way the sprouts grow in it than in the SS sprouter and it seemed to me harder to get the excess water off after rinsing than with the SS sprouter.

I like the way the sprouts blanket the stainless steel mesh and grow nice and vertical and green up. Easy to take a knife and slice off the roots from the underside of the sprouter when time to harvest and easy to get the water off between rinsing.

I could have bought something made in China from Amazon, but I like to support a small business company like Sprout People and their product which is made in Japan is high quality. I have bought various sprouting seeds from them too and always have been happy with the germination and mix. I also appreciate all the information they have on their web site. Great company!

I have been sprouting since the 70's and these are very easy to use and work especially well with cabbage and broccoli sprouts! Just purchased my fourth and fifth stainless sprouters!

2 years and going strong

I use the stainless steel sprouter to grow leafy sprouts. I know the instructions say don't pull them out, but I've always been a rebel. Just go slow, be gentle, and it'll be fine (and grow small delicate plants like in mother's mix or the French mix). I use two of these regularly and they are holding up well. No damage. A teeny tiny bit of rust on the edge of one (about the size of a flax seed), but it doesn't bother me. I'm happy to use something plastic free that works.
